This Pre Owned Epiphone 1965 Century E442T with Bigsby is in very good condition for its age. As you would expect there is quite a bit of general wear and tear from over the years but it's full of mojo and charm. All of us here got a soft spot for this one straight away. It came to us in need of a good clean after spending many years a case but in full working order.
The itself guitar plays nicely and the light fret wear and marks on back of the neck don't impact on the playability. The body has lots of lacquer checking, scuffs and scratches but nothing out of the ordinary to report. The odd bump and bruise tells stories of days gone by and we feel adds to the appeal of owning a vintage instrument. We don't believe the Bigsby was factory fitted but it has certainly been on there a long time and has patina'd nicely with age. There are no markings on the pickup itself but it looks original to us. The output of the pickup is strong and all electronics are in good working order. The larger screw on the scratchplate looks like it may have been replaced at some point. Original machine heads work well and aged nicely. Includes a non original but good fitting hard case.
We've given it a full set up and healthcheck in our workshop with fresh set of Ernie Ball Regular Slinky's and it's now ready to find a new home.
