This Pre Owned Gibson 2005 Custom Shop L-5 CES in Ebony finish is in very good condition. Overall showing fairly light wear and tear for its age but considering it's a black gloss guitar, it presents well. As you can see in our photographs, on first look it appears excellent but as you inspect it closer, you do start to notice more signs of use. There is certainly nothing major to report and any cosmetic wear does not impact on the playability in any way. The original pickups sound fantastic and it is an absolute pleasure to play.
The neck is in excellent condition with no big dinks, dents or scratches. The fret wear is minimal and still plenty of life in them yet. It does have some of the usual Gibson quirks with small areas of lacquer cracking/peeling including around the edge of the machine heads on the front of the headstock and binding. The body does have general signs of use with surface scratches, swirling and a handful of small blemishes. The hardware shows some patina but is in very good shape.
Includes the original Gibson case, certificate of authenticity, gibson custom cloth, plectrums, owners paperwork including factory checklist.
We've given it a full set up and healthcheck in our workshop with fresh set of D'Addario Chromes 12-52 and it's now ready to find a new home.
