This Pre Owned Fender 1979 Stratocaster in Sunburst finish with Rosewood fingerboard is in very good condition for its age. Overall showing signs of general wear and tear but nothing out of the ordinary.
We have had this guitar on our workbench and the neck and body serial number match as 1979. The pots are dated 1980 which leads us to believe this was when it was fully assembled. We do have pictures of these available on request. The previous owner purchased it in 1981 and it has been well maintained throughout ownership.
Condition wise, the neck is in excellent condition and free from any big dinks or dents. The frets are showing wear, mostly up to 5th fret on the treble strings but it still plays well and plenty of life in them yet. They have been levelled at some point. There are a handful of small chips and dinks on the body but thankfully most are on the edge and rear so therefore fairly hidden. The sunburst finish is still in good condition. It does have lots of surface scratches visible on close inspection. As you can see from our photo's, it presents very well as an outfit. Includes a period correct case, tremolo arm, spare spring, original swing tag and owners manual.
We've given it a full set up and healthcheck in our workshop with fresh set of D'Addario EXL110's (10-46) and it's now ready to find a new home.
