This Pre Owned Gibson 1975 Les Paul Deluxe in Wine Red is in very good condition. It has bags of vintage mojo and the genuine road wear you'd expect to see on a guitar of this age. There are lots of dinks, scratches and marks from use but we think it only adds to the appeal. Certainly nothing out of the ordinary or that impacts on the playability of the guitar. Original pickups sounds killer. Pots dated '75 and it looks like it's been well maintained over the years. The neck has some areas of lacquer worn through from years of use which is no surprise, as it's great to play!
The bridge saddles have been replaced for Graph Tech and at some point the machine heads have been replaced too. The old machine heads are included but in worn and in some cases slightly bent condition. The jacksocket has been replaced and there is an old one in the case. The frets have been levelled and dressed and although showing wear still play well.
There is some damage visible where the pickguard meets the fingerboard just below the final fret. The pickguard itself is cracked, there is a small dent on the fingerboard and binding. On the treble side horn there is some damage as a section of binding has been replaced and lacquered over. We believe this series of marks would've been from one incident. As far as we can tell there are no other historical repairs and considering it's age, it presents very well indeed. It comes complete with the original case and spare set of Gibson speed knobs.
We've given it a full set up and healthcheck in our workshop with fresh set of D'Addario EXL110's (10-46) and it's now ready to find a new home.
