This Pre Owned Gibson 1977 Hummingbird Acoustic is in excellent condition for its age. As you can see from our photographs the Cherry Sunburst finish is still bright. One owner from new and clearly been well cared for over the years. All looks in lovely original condition. On close inspection it does show light play wear and tear but certainly nothing major to report on this one. The odd small dink, scratch and scuff we think add to the charm of owning a historic guitar like this.
The saddle appears to have been taken down over the years but the action remains good. Current action is 2.8mm at 12th fret and truss rod in working order. The neck is in excellent condition and the frets although showing wear, have plenty of life in them yet. It plays nicely and projects well
We've given it a full set up and healthcheck in our workshop with fresh set of D'Addario EJ16's and it's now ready to find a new home. Includes a well used and worn non original case with non-functional hinges. We would suggest the new owner purchases something more substantial in order to keep this great guitar well protected.
