This Pre Owned Fender 2011 Custom Shop '55 Stratocaster Relic in Ocean Turquiose finish excellent condition. Overall presents very nicely and certainly doesn't look like it's had a hard life. Obviously it is very hard to determine what wear is genuine factory relic'ing and what is from use over the years. What we can say is, to us it looks very tidy indeed with minimal additional markings. The wear looks consistent with relic'ing from this era. It was common in this period to relic the back of the body more than the front.
The neck feels great in the hands and is free from any dinks or dents. Frets show very light wear with plenty of life in them yet. Custom Shop '54 pickups sounds fantastic. We have noticed a small amount of non-original soldering on the electronics but all has been well maintained and working as they should.
The original tweed hardcase with keys is still in excellent condition. Inside the case is the certificate of authenticity, owners paperwork, swing tag, bridge cover, tremolo arm and springs, un-used cleaning cloth and custom shop sticker. All has been kept in great shape and goes to show the care taken by the previous owner.
We've given it a full set up and healthcheck in our workshop with fresh set of D'Addario EXL110's (10-46) and it's now ready to find a new home.
