This Pre Owned Fender 1973 Telecaster may not be the most original one out there but it certainly has bags of vintage mojo. It is still in very good playable condition. This guitar really is a players grade guitar, waiting for someone to have loads of fun.

We do know that this guitar has had extensive modifications over the years and has been played a lot throughout ownership. Up until recently this was a customers main guitar and it has been kept it in good playable condition.

We have listed details of our findings and the historical modifications below. If you would like any further pictures, please get in touch. While the guitar was on our workbench we took additional photos to help us verify the age and authenticity of the guitar.

- The numbers on the neck have enabled us to date it mid '72.
- One of the pots is dated '72 while the other is '73.
- The serial number on the neck plate confirms the completion of build was early '73.
- As far as we know the switches appear to be original but hard to know for sure.
- At some point the body was stripped of the original finish and contoured on the front and back.
- There is a hole routed under the scratchplate for a middle pickup that we believe was possibly done at the same time as it also looks to have been done to a very high standard.
- The bridge pickup has been replaced to a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder and we have the original. The neck pickup appears to be original.
- Currently fitted with a non original Black pickguard.
- John Williams has fitted a new wiring loom and Fender Bigsby.
- The top nut has been replaced at some point.
- We have noticed that the top E machine head and taken a knock and bent slightly. It is functioning.
- Currently the frets are worn but have plenty of life left in them.

We've given it a set up and healthcheck in our workshop with fresh set of DR Vertias 10-46 and it's now ready to find a new home. This really is a players grade guitar, waiting for someone to have loads of fun.
