Express Music was first started by Peter Brown in 1983 after the local music shop he was working in closed and left him without employment and Solihull without a music shop. Over the next years the business grew taking on staff and moving into new premises.
In 2003 with Peter now concentrating on a new venture the business was taken over by current owner Philip Graham. Under new ownership the business has seen steady growth now employing 10 members of staff, 12 freelance music tutors and holding £1m+ of stock.
2009 was another landmark year at Express Music taking over the Music Exchanges / TMC store in Coventry. The 10,000 ft2 building was refurbished and reopened as Express Music in October of the same year. Now offering PA and drum departments plus on site guitar workshop and repair service.
Online sales have paid a large part to our success in recent years. With our own photo booth the pictures are of the actual instruments you’re purchasing, real time stock levels, next day free UK delivery and all goods inspected prior to dispatch. We respond to all emails within 24 hours are here to help all the way through your shopping experience. We offer 6, 9 or 12 months interest free credit on all instruments over £300 online or in store.
Express Music remains a privately owned company and has a simple philosophy, quality instruments, genuine service and competitive prices. All members of staff are active musicians, not on any sales commission and are on hand to give you honest advice.
