This Pre Owned Fender 1967 Telecaster in 3-Tone Sunburst finish is in excellent playing condition. This guitar has been with the previous owner since the late 80's and during this time it has had little use and stored in it's case. Overall it shows very few signs of use with only the slightest surface scratches and play wear. This really is a lovely example and one we are very proud to have for sale.

Here's some more detail about what we know.

Body:

This was refinished prior to the previous owner. We are not able to confirm the original colour but the 3-Tone Sunburst and binding has been done nicely and due to how long ago it was done, it has aged nicely and shows attractive lacquer checking.

Neck:

The neck has been re-finished and re-fretted. The original decal was more than likely replaced at this time. The Maple neck has a Maple cap fingerboard and is in excellent condition. It has nice jumbo fret wire that we presume have been levelled at some point as they show little to no wear. The neck is clearly stamped November '67 as well as the neck plate showing the serial number - 216140

Hardware/Electronics:

We have been able to verify the pots as both are dated '67. The bridge plate, ash tray cover, pickups, control plate, control knobs, switch, jack socket and machine heads all appear correct for the era. The saddles have been replaced for brass. The nut has been replaced. The top hat is currently glued on to the selector switch. The pickguard and top hat have been replaced at some point. It has been re-wired to standard tele configuration.

Case:

Includes an era specific case in good working order. (no keys)

We've given it a full set up and healthcheck in our workshop with fresh set of DR Vertias 10-46 and it's now ready to find a new home.
